🔧 Dexter K71-652-00 Tandem Kit - The Ultimate Complete Solution for Enhanced Performance Review

Just installed them on my 16ft cargo trailer. But something seems wrong to me. I thought they should look more like a "W" once installed. The trailer seems to be going well. I don't know if I screwed up somewhere or what. Seems to be a good product as others have said the packaging is terrible. Anyone know why they look like this? I expected them to engage once the wheels were on the ground, but they didn't.

Trailer feels and pulls much softer. On my first ride after installation, a friend followed me and remarked on how smooth the trailer was. The tires, and now the suspension, absorbed the bumps in the road, but the trailer stayed flat and smooth. Much less content movement. Great upgrade! The trailer doesn't have shock absorbers, I've thought about adding them as well, but I'm not sure if it would be necessary now or worth the cost.

Missing parts. In my kit I was missing 1 wet bolt, 1 nut and 1 bushing. My fault is that I didn't count, I just love using the product. Contacted Dexter and they said they couldn't help me. If I want to return, I have to take everything apart and send it back. Seems like a lot of work for $5 in installments. I'll visit my local dealers and see if they can help. Dexter has no help right now. Disappointed to say the least.

The materials used in this product are far superior to standard parts. Everything looks like it was built to last. The caravan seems to drive smoother with less bounce. Installation was pretty quick once we got the first page out of the way. Total assembly time without prior knowledge 2.5 hours. Two floor jacks are very helpful when leveling parts, and pneumatic tools speed up the work. The only drawback: leveling mirrors can make access with tires difficult. The price of the kit was great. Installation took about two hours. (I'm a technician by trade) requires tools some may not have. Loud clicking and suspension squeaks on our RV are gone. Also is it more stable? It's hard to tell as the fifth wheel is very stable anyway and I'm towing a 12,500 GVW fifth wheel with a 2021 Dual Ram. Of course. I put these on my 5400lb 24ft Keystone Bullet TT. The driving improvement is excellent. Less bounce, less noise, less wobble and better cornering. The only reason for deducting a star is that no lubricant was used on a fitting. I pulled it out and found that the hole wasn't drilled far enough to reach the side hole where the grease comes out. I bought this kit to replace my 18 year old and worn out parts on my boat trailer. I liked that there is a rubber bushing to reduce suspension shock. The set arrived quite quickly. I went through the kit and found that the bronze bushing was missing and one of the caliper grease fittings was broken. This kit was installed on my 2006 Fleetwood Gearbox 220FB. This is a toy dump truck with a gross vehicle weight rating of 11,000 pounds. Axes and Dexter components. The OEM plastic bushings have started to wear out at the three leaf spring lugs. The stock EQ's plastic sleeve is completely gone by about 20% of the circumference.
