They work but don't look like the advertised 850 lumens

Color temperature at least 5000K maybe close to 6000K so meets my needs but the brightness is definitely not up to the advertised 850 lumens which is equivalent to a halogen lamp with approx. 60W (in the description even 100W specified). These aren't bad bulbs, but the description isn't very accurate, and if you really need 850 lumens, look elsewhere. As for the claimed CRI > 85, I'm not entirely sure either. I'll see if they hold up. My setup doesn't require dimming and is a regular full…

Very Bright!: Microwave Oven Parts and Accessories

Works Great on High! Much brighter and cooler than the incandescent bulbs that came with our Samsung microwave. The lightbulbs that came with the microwave got so hot we were afraid even to leave the light on for more than a few minutes at a time. And they were so dim, even at maximum brightness, that the light from a brand-new microwave was useless. These LED bulbs stay cool and really light up the oven area. On "high" it works fine, but on "low" it flickers. I still gave it 5 stars for its…

Definitely no quality control

Pros: Cheap and a little brighter than an incandescent bulb but that's where it stops. The company was kind enough to send more for free, but I don't trust the design anymore. Cons: Look at the photo. This happened to my Whirlpool microwave. right performance. Correct landing. Correct settings. Bad design. The circuitry inside the lamp must be of poor quality. My microwave has never been harmed by another lightbulb. Just those cheap LEDs. I thought everything was ready then I decided to…

A bright table lamp that works in the USA and never needs replacing

A great replacement for our LG microwave top lamp. The microwave oven has a night light setting as well as a full-on mode. And yes, there is a slightly noticeable flicker at slightly reduced light output (for the techies: the flicker is probably around 30Hz, as the output is probably half wave diode rectifying the applied 60Hz mains frequency). Flickering is largely dependent on the methodology used in the design of the microwave used to dim the light. But for use with this microwave it works…

  • Out of style

Works great at full brightness, flickers when dimmed.

I use them under the microwave over the stove. I like the 6000K color temperature as I can see detail better than at lower incandescent temperatures and I find the color of the food I cook looks normal. The detail I see at this temperature is so enhanced that I often sort my mail and read recipe printouts in this light because they are easier to read in this color temperature light. (Tired old eyes with reading glasses 1.75). Not much brightness for me. I don't use these dimmers at half…

Served 2 months then died

Worked perfectly at first. I installed two Samsung-supplied microwaves above a backlit stove with a fan. Before that I used an incandescent lamp. Excellent brightness, dims perfectly (Samsung has light, dark and off). Then both stopped working after 2 months. They would only turn on at very low light levels, well below the dim setting, too low to be useful. They don't change the brightness between full and dimmed. I've tried unscrewing and reinstalling the bulbs multiple times now to no avail…

Cons

Edit November 9th: Both of the original bulbs finally blew out (or got so weak as to be unusable) in early October, so I went ahead and got a new pair halfway through ordered by October 2020. They looked much shorter than the original ones. The new ones were nice and bright for 2 weeks and then they started to fail. They went very very dark intermittently and then permanently dark and I checked again and both were screwed into their base tight enough that they didn't come loose like last time…

Great at first, but not for long.

***Update #3*** The replacement I received in the second update below does not work as well as the first replacement. That's under the microwave and above the stove. This lasted 8 months, which is also unacceptable for an LED. Since the exact same one from the original order still works perfectly in my microwave, I can only conclude that the problem is due to excessive heat. Although they are marketed as replacements for incandescent bulbs, in my experience they are not recommended for…
