Quiet operation and long life with proper maintenance

This identical pump was installed by me by an HVAC specialist a few years ago. A few years later I ran into some problems which I solved by cleaning the sensors while learning to disassemble and remove them from the system. When it finally broke I replaced it myself and saved a lot of money. The reason for my rating is that the original pump replaced a float pump that only lasted a few years. Don't hire a plumber for this easy DIY job

This is my second of these pumps. The first came with our house and the label said it was about 7 years old so I'm already impressed. When the old one broke it got really loud every time it pumped out the water and then made some crazy noises before going off in the middle of the night one night. My ancient little giant caused a flood 6 months ago because the float switch got stuck. I replaced the pump with this because I liked the idea of having electronic sensors and no float switches. Also, it has some other "smart" features and cool flashing lights. It tripped the GFI circuit breaker and flooded with water 6 months after I bought it and then died completely. I called tech support and got an immediate response over the phone and the odd response that substances in the humidifier…

I have NETBOTZ networked room monitors that I set up as a home monitor and alarm long before something like Simply Safe was available (15 years). I hooked up water leak sensors to my NetBotz in the basement and it found a leak the other day and my old Stone Age condensate pump was the culprit. I've been looking for smart pumps but to no avail I guess due to the increase in cost with Wi-Fi connectivity. These pumps are as close as can be and I love everything about them. Amazingly quiet, easy to
