DTECH straight through serial DB9 cable female to female connector connects your computer to device with RS-232 compatible (COM port) interface. DE9 9 pin connector on each end equipped with screws to ensure an easy and solid connection for stable data communication. 15 feet DB9 rs232c extension cord is long enough for unites side by side; the wires inside the cable are of 30AWG gauge and easy to solder to. It is pin-to-pin wired as a DB-9 serial adapter Straight Through (pinout :1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4. 8-8, 9-9, G-G); standard shielded with AL foil. RS232 serial adapter cord for some old RS232C equipment like scanner, Modem, printer, plotter, switches, camera, barcode / embroidery machine, touchscreen, microcontroller, test equipment.

Works as described in Computers and Accessories

Works as described. This is a straight cable, meaning pin 1 on one end connects to pin 1 on the other end. The same applies to every contact. This cable cannot be used as a 4-pin crossover communication cable.

Good units, high quality

I took 10 of these blocks to cut in half and use in a custom cable assembly. All findings had the same color. a little lighter than I was hoping for 24 AWG? but they were ok with care. Tinned bare wires. Both ends of the DB-9 case were electrically connected to the shielding foil.

Wrong cables arrived

Order cables x2. Both were defective. I ordered them as a replacement. After replacing new cables, my hardware was not recognized by our software. As soon as I reconnected the old cables, our equipment was recognized immediately.

It's a serial cable with jacks on each end. 9 feet long.

This is not a crossover cable. It's a serial cable with jacks on each end. carried out directly. This is not a printer cable. I am using a cable to connect my computer to my Yaesu FT950D ham radio so I can use the radio with the Ham Radio Deluxe software. That works great. the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this cable. JohnK4AGO

Special cable for amateur radio communication.

This cable is just what I need to connect my ham radio to the RS-232 port. It's direct (all 9 pins are connected directly). The cable corresponds to the description and is of good quality.

Works well.: Serial cables

These were purchased as part of a project. We actually cut the cable in half and connected it with Molex connectors. The inner conductors are paper thin, but most users don't crimp contacts onto wires, so they should do the trick for most needs.
