I wanted so badly to love a basic edge sweeper. Everything worked great right out of the box! My 4 year old had no problem with it and picked it up easily. I like the trap in the back to bring him down. Overall this is a great idea for a product but the hair got tangled in the brush wheels. I turned the little "screws" to loosen the wheels and pulled my hair out. I wanted to re-glue but it won't hold. UPDATE: Purchased in May. In July, I noticed that the brushes responsible for sweeping the dirt into the trash can weren't spinning smoothly. I had to struggle with the brush angle and pressure to get the brushes to move. Now the broom requires so much effort and time on my part to get the brushes to spin that I'd rather use a regular broom and dustpan. I love this little device, but I felt like it was missing two things, at least for me. Height and weight. I'm 5ft 6" tall and found the handle height a bit low to comfortably push the sweeper, so I just bought a second sweeper and used one of the handle sections to get my height the way I wanted it. . I don't know why some have complained that it doesn't clean well. It is not intended for thorough cleaning. This is a surface cleaner. I am very happy with my purchase.
