USELESS RULER - Don't waste your money

Calibrations don't start at the end of the ruler, so measuring from the surface isn't possible. The calibration marks are already deleted. I just wanted a cheap metric/imperial ruler to check things when I'm drawing in CAD or to scale drawings more easily. I have a lot of cheap 6 inch port rulers that I use all the time and have had for years, still the same as the day I bought them. It's embarrassing even to call it a line.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • repair

Sturdy and easy to read

I seem to have always used a plastic ruler. After a while they become hard to read (the markings fade), so this time I went with a metal ruler. To be honest I'll probably use the 6 inch ruler more than the larger one, but it's nice to have both. And laid out in one line, of course, I get 18 inches. The metal appears to be quite strong - doesn't look like it will bend/warp easily. The marking is easy to read. The rulers came in a plastic case (one for each ruler) which I think will help ensureโ€ฆ

Very disappointed with these rulers

You might think that a ruler is something you can't screw up, but there's a serious problem with the design of both rulers. It is very difficult to get accurate measurements with a ruler because very small lines run along the ruler, spaced 0.5mm apart and 0.5cm long, with no dividing lines for each centimeter or half centimeter etc. large ones rows arise. from 0 to 10 cm and for a small one from 0 to 5 cm. My eyesight is 20-20, so I can't accurately measure something a few inches long. Forโ€ฆ

Best Rulers I've Ever Used

I bought this ruler because I needed a small metal ruler that looked professional and fit in my notebook. I'm a forensic investigator. I take lots of notes. More grades than in graduate school. I like to keep my notes clean and pristine so it's easy to write a report later. I use a 6 inch ruler that I take with me in the car to keep my notes in pristine condition. I often have to submit my notes to my superiors as evidence. The last thing I want is to hand over something that makes me lookโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great ruler for a ruler

I've tried wooden rulers, wooden rulers with metal inserts, plastic rulers and none of them work when it comes to drawing a straight line. I bought a set of these eBoot stainless steel rulers (12" and 6") and was so impressed I bought a second set for my other office! The conversion tables on the back are a nice feature. I do quite a bit of straight edge cutting work with utility and Xacto knives and they work exceptionally well. The only problem is that you have to be extremely careful whenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Several competitors

  • Good but not great

These rulers truly rule and meet the demands of the competition.

Dream. I've been looking for a 64" ruler and it's here. Imperialists rejoice, this has inches in divisions of 16, 32 and 64. Obviously the 64th division of an inch is very small, but if you want precision, look no further. The half millimeter tick doesn't disappoint either. There is an inch to millimeter conversion chart on the opposite page if that's what you're into. This set comes with a full line and a small line and it was really great. Thickness 1mm .The numbers and ticks are laserโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Can't remember using

Lines too long, jagged edges stick to the paper

Arrived in an envelope! Luckily she didn't bend. The only good thing I have to say about these rulers is that the lack of a cork backing brings the lines closer to the paper and shortens the shadow, which is nice. Now for the problems: the lines for 1/64" and 1/10mm are too long to interpret, and 1/32" is still on the edge. Longitudinal lines don't help either, because they confuse the dense tangle of lines even more. Another issue is that the edges were very tapered on arrival, especially at 6

Pros
  • thickness 0.9mm avoid sharp edges
Cons
  • Some small things

That's great! Much better than wood and plastic! That's why.

This ruler set is *amazing*, just what I needed! I can't count the number of times I've sat at my computer, either to order something and find out the exact dimensions, or to write a review and want to accurately describe the dimensions, which resulted in me getting up, going down where my tape measure is, going back up, etc. (Why not leave the tape measure on my desk? Because I usually need it where I keep it.) So I decided to order a ruler for my desk . When I started looking at the rulersโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Metric and Imperial; With conversion table on the back
Cons
  • There are even more interesting possibilities.

Nice improvement over my old line

Upgrading my workshop I replaced several tools with better versions. I had an old wooden ruler that I wanted to replace and hang on a breadboard. I saw this set and decided to try it. The included 6 inch ruler was a bonus for me. In general I like them. I have a laser hole gauge that I use a lot, but sometimes a regular ruler works better. First, it's easier to draw straight lines with these rulers because they're not made of flimsy steel like laser-drilled gauges. They're a bit thicker, whichโ€ฆ
