Although it is made of high quality stainless steel as advertised, the design of the detachable center piece that forms ice cubes is not very good. The linkage began to jam almost immediately and a pair of metal "fins" came loose and was difficult/impossible to move properly. I would NOT recommend this ice cube tray.

Metal ice breaking device is not very strong. I followed the instructions and broke the cubes just 1-2 minutes after taking them out of the freezer and 3 months later the metal rails on one of my trays fell off/broke completely from the main body and could not be repaired. If the manufacturer reads this I would be happy to share photos and get a replacement.

As you can see in the photo, the vertical parts of the tray have detached from the top U-shape that holds the knives in place. The tray is no longer used. I love this ice cream bowl. This brand makes a very durable stainless steel tray compared to other brands. I admit that I made a mistake on one of the two trays I bought and ended up bending the metal for not waiting 5-10 minutes. With some tricks I managed to fix the problem and get it working properly again. Now it works fine. Updated: I am pleased to report that I have received a full refund. I gave them the option to give me a refund or give me real (clean) stainless steel ice trays and they refunded me. I was dying for usable ice trays, but with a refund it stings a little less. It took quite a bit of effort on my part to figure out how to contact the seller.
