When I received the item today I found that the heatsink in the DVR was loose and some resistors were damaged. I returned it straight away. I am giving this 3 stars instead of 1 because I assume it is an isolated manufacturing defect and does not apply to all of these DVRs. I went with another brand for a replacement.

no idea who or what was stolen. The purpose of a surveillance system is to ensure that your valuables are monitored and protected to some degree. However, what happens when thieves take away the DVR with video footage of their theft? The only evidence you can get is email snapshots of the intrusion UNLESS the DVR sends email snapshots and you are unlucky. site almost 3.5 years later and it still works. To get my original password I contacted customer service and they helped me reset my password within 48 hours. Now I can return the new DVR I bought when I thought I couldn't get back into the system after losing my password. Great customer service has always been for this Camvtech 16 Channel AHD Hydrib, allowing me to cover more square feet with more cameras and switch from analog to AHD cameras. Cover my entire store.
