CHECK THE PLAYER'S REGION BEFORE USE!

My experience is closer to four stars so far, but I'm giving it three so more people can see it. At first I thought it didn't work like the others. But then I found out that the player was sent to me in a set from another region! Changing the region turned out to be quite easy. CHECK YOUR REGION BEFORE USE! This can save you a headache.

Looked great and worked great

Great for watching and listening to movies and CDs, works well. I never had to contact tech support. I bought it because there was no room for a CD in my new laptop. It's perfect for any program I need to run, or even to record anything I already have on my laptop. I'm still learning everything I can do with it, but so far it's been pretty easy.

Inexpensive BD player

I was expecting a device with a self-folding connection cable, but despite the fact that the device looks like the photo and has the same identification sticker on the bottom, the cable was supplied separately. It's still a dual 3.0 USB/C port, but it's plugged in separately instead of being kept on the bottom of the device. It was a disappointment but it still works as it should. There is also a separate USB power cable that can be used if the computer's USB-C port isn't performing well. I…

Read the installation instructions.

This Blu-ray player requires two USB connections or one USB connection and one phone connection to get enough power. Your computer won't recognize it if it's not powerful enough. My son installed blue ray player and had problems. The first instruction was to connect both USB ports. When I did that, our Windows 10 PC recognized it immediately.

Macbook Pro 2019 Catalina - so far so good [Preview]

Unlike other DVD drives I've tried, this one looks solid and has an easy-to-use eject button that works the first time. The instructions were written by someone who hardly speaks English. It didn't work with VLC until I tried it with the default macos player, which told me it was set to region 2 and offered to change it to region 1. It now plays a commercial DVD and has burned a data DVD. I don't have a BR disc to try.
