Works on MacAir for CD and DVD drives

I bought two other external CD/DVD drives that should work on a MacAir laptop. The first would not work at all. The second seemed to be playing and stopped. I gave them both back to Revane. It can be connected to AC power, giving it enough power to run. The other two were only powered by the laptop, so I believe they were underpowered and not working. The downside is that this drive is less portable as it needs to be plugged into an outlet to function adequately on my MacAir. For this reason I…

Even though they sent me a new one I had the same problem

I didn't use it to burn to disc only to play movies, that's what this review is about. It plays movies perfectly and comes with a very nice carrying case. I actually had a connection issue on the device after a few months. After some troubleshooting suggestions from the seller, it was determined that there was a problem with the device. Hard drive works as advertised, tech support is excellent

I bought a previous version of the hard drive which failed after a few months. I emailed tech support for help and was told that a new drive, this one, is now available and that I will get a refund from them if I order it. Within a week I received my new CD and compensation for the previous CD. I haven't had any issues with this drive so far and I especially like the dual ports. I am very happy with the help and support I have received.

Worked great: Computer components

It worked great right out of the box. No drivers required. The kit included a cable with USC-C and USB 3.0 connectors. I've tried both options on my iMac and absolutely no problems. I also like the style of tray loading versus slot loading. Slot loading is a great idea until something goes wrong with the CD/DVD drive or there is a physical problem with the disc that prevents the disc from ejecting. No problem with the tray loading style. I haven't tried the SD/TF card reading function yet…

Great machine at a reasonable price

I have a new Macbook Air. It doesn't have a built in CD/DVD drive or USB ports. I wanted to be able to burn some of my photos to CDs and create DVDs from iMovie. A bit fiddly, but it works.

First off, the instructions are written in obnoxious English and are hard to read. USB Micro-B connector on the side of the device which I don't think anyone uses anymore. The connector is not seated properly, but appears to be working. On the computer side, it's a detachable cable with a USB-C end and a USB-A end.
