The Real Deal: Tack Care

There is a lot of confusion about foot oil. In the past, the product was made by boiling the beef drumsticks. It is believed that the oil in the pad protects the feet from freezing. This oil is also found in small amounts in the fat deposits of cattle and is extracted and concentrated using modern production techniques. There are no leg cooker manufacturers anymore. Be careful when buying foot oil. Some manufacturers dilute the product with cheaper oil, for example mineral oil. Fiebing Oil is a

Strong odor of distillate

Usually leather professionals recommend only using 100% pure hoof oil, but I chose Fiebing's hoof oil as it is cheaper and pure hoof oil has its own unpleasant smell. But I don't think the savings were worth the worries the complex is now causing. Sputum aspiration is much less likely because there is no mask to stop it. And the ever-changing pressure on the body helps keep the digestive system healthy. The pressure inside is altered by a motor that…

Big mistake good for horses

I ordered this instead of 100% neatsfoot oil by mistake. I usually use the same brand but not "Compound" and thought it might be worth a try. I have to say that I was not satisfied at all. It flows like water running down, not soaking up like pure oil. It didn't even get into the paper and cardboard under the saddles, it just accumulated. For one, I've never dropped so much from the saddle, and for another, pure oil never puddles like that, even if I spill it. I've just finished a few saddles…
