Maneuverability gives an edge to the fine art of making pie dough

This is my first time using a French rolling pin and I love it. The best thing is maneuverability when you balance the thickness of the pie dough. The wooden pencil is smooth, attractive and does not need any further processing before use.

  • Worth the Money

  • No

My favorite rolling pin style. Good quality product!

I like the tapered French rolling pins better than the flat ones. Maple is my favorite wood for her because of the strength and lack of pores in the grain. I coat them with warm coconut oil and it's for life apart from a light brushing/oiling when needed.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Updates available

French Rolling Pin Best in Bakeware

I have my mother in law's old rolling pin which I use for a lot of dough work but the only tool I use exclusively for cake batter is this rolling pin. Dough scraps are easy to remove with a scraper, the weight of a pin is perfect and I find the shape absolutely essential for pie dough that I wouldn't use any other rolling pin.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • unreliable

Fantastically smooth, well balanced rolling pin!

The quality of this rolling pin is second to none. While there are many others with a similar shape, this one is perfectly balanced and extremely slim. I bought a similar style from another bamboo material company because it had visual "personality" but feels bulky and the dough is sticky compared to a Fletcher's Mill pen. I look forward to using this remedy for years to come!

Pros
  • Probationary period for one year
Cons
  • Periodicity

Love it and made in the USA!

Love it! I like that it washes easily and dries quickly. It didn't stick to my dough even though I use flour, but even with previous rollers the dough still stuck to it with flour. It rolls up easily and maintains a nice flat slope. I especially like that it's done right here in the US, we have to support our country, our people who are making a living from what they earn. This roller is high quality and cheaper than others for the quality you get.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Some problems

Excellent quality rolling pin

I bake at least once a week and eventually got sick of it and bought a solid rolling pin. The best baking solution I've ever made. I like it a lot better than my old marble roller with handle. It's easy to use, easy to use, easy to clean. I just wish it was a bit thicker as I have fairly large hands; I assume this is a fine fit for most people. If you're an avid baker, do yourself a favor and buy a wooden roller. This will be the best $20 kitchen item you can buy.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Negative impression

Very good! - Rolling pin

I am so happy with this rolling pin. I wanted a French style pin because they are easier to manipulate. It's also a good weight - heavy enough to work well and light enough that my (frail, small, human) hands don't get too tired from using it. This is good wood, looks good and feels good. My only real downside is that it's so long it doesn't fit in any of my drawers. But honestly, who cares? It's so pretty on my countertop I don't need to hide it. This is a great pin at a great price and makes…

What I was looking for

Rolling pin arrived quickly and in perfect condition. This is a beautiful piece of wood with no splinters or defects. I've treated it with John Boo's Mystery Oil as a condiment and expect it to last a lifetime. I used a silicone coated rolling pin the same length as this one and was very disappointed with it because my dough is always sticky, heavy and doesn't taper at the ends which makes it pretty awkward to use. This rolling pin is smaller in diameter and with tapered ends it's easier to…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Without machine

Worth every penny. Good thing for rolling pins

Must have learned something at first for sure. It was a little difficult to control. But after using it a few times to make flatbread it was very easy and felt natural. It's lightweight but doesn't look like it will break easily. And you don't have to lift it to change direction, it's as simple as tilting it or rocking it the other way to change direction. I've spent some time looking through the rolling pins as I couldn't find them in any of the stores I currently work at. I chose this one and
