Excellent knife for your money! The flat top teeth and 1/8 inch cutting width mean you can use it as a poor saw blade and cut both hardwood and softwood effectively. I recently used it with my table saw to cut 3 1/2 inches. chewed deep through the walnut with no problems and the cut surface is really almost clean which is definitely great for a 24T blade. I was too lazy to readjust the dies every time I needed flat cuts for dovetail, half lap, tongue and groove, mortise and tenon joints. With this blade on my sawstop site (yes it's compatible) I can cut, cross and make all of the above connections without changing the blade, although I have to make multiple passes. Each tooth chewed lightly on a cardboard Freud card. Luckily none of the teeth were broken and the blade is fine. I got this blade for several reasons. 1: FTG: This means the teeth are perfectly flat on top leaving a shallow cut. I don't have a grooving blade for a circular saw and wanted a blade that can cut grooves, tongues and laps on a circular saw.
