You get what you pay for

Bought a 3/4 bit to route a channel in the side of the door frame to install the internal latch mechanism. I had very little room to play with and this cutter did a great job of removing material without recoil. Due to the size of the bits, I had to run the router at a higher speed and do multiple passes to get the depth I wanted. Much better and cleaner than the cheap ones sold at Revain.

Pros
  • Annual trial
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Great bit, be careful when unpacking

This is a quality cutter, like all Freud bits I have. One caveat: the bit is difficult to remove from the plastic box. The packaging has a very strong grip on the bit shank. If you grab the tip with your fingers and pull hard to pull it out, you could severely cut your finger on that very sharp tip (ask me how I know). I recommend using pliers to get the bit out.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Works amazingly well with a 20V Dewalt router (DCW600)

I had no idea my kid's router could work like this with dados and bunnies. With this 1โ€ณ bit on a tiny 1/4 shank, my edge router (Dewalt DCW600 20v) has almost replaced its big brother on all my office work. Cuts MDF and plywood like butter, even in one pass. Make sure you use the slower setting on the router and it should work just fine. I have not tried this on hardwood.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Sharper and cheaper than the big box store

This is a Freud that ticks all the boxes you would expect from a brand. They only stocked their own brand - everything I saw had slight burrs or flaws in the material. The price was about $1-2 more than the $14 I paid for this racket. I decided to wait a few days to get this racket - and I'm incredibly happy! Super clean cut, very accurate measurements.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons

Works great, cuts great.

I have a bat and haven't wasted any time trying it out on my MPCNC. Grab the 1/16" version I bought. If I had to use one word it would be WWWWOOOOOOWWWWWWW! Not only did it cut cleanly, it didn't twitch either. I'm sure I got the feed on the next time i use it but for the moment it was very good money this is my first freud piece as i usually buy amana but they dont have 1/16"" freud may have a new client right now Won it out for itself, and it still does! PS: The packaging didn't try to killโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
