3 years ago I installed 20 feet of inexpensive gutter leaf guard netting. I waited to test it first. Although it was difficult to get under the shingles, this gutter tape worked. The material really needs to be stiffer so it can be laid over gutters and under shingles. Went through 4 rolls of stuff, took forever to lay flat over the gutters and under the clapboards. When I pull it a certain way to make it lie flat, it stretches somewhere else. Also, the material, being so brittle, never wanted to sit on the edge of the gutter, it just wanted to fall out of that "groove" at the edge of the gutter. I bought some plastic washers to use to install the doors (wooden washers might work too) and slid one every 6-8 inches under the clapboards at first.
