Not working: Extensions

Total pcs. out of the trash! Arrived on 26.06. Connected after 5 days. Couldn't turn on any lamp this morning. Turning on the extension cord worked right away, so it broke! waste of money! Should get NO stars, only one way to give this review. .Pamela L. Ballard

Solve many problems!

I like it very much! I have an outlet in the middle of the wall behind my bed. And lamps on either side of the bedside tables. I've always had trouble connecting the two. They've probably been making butts like these for a long time, and I just had no idea. I'm so glad I finally found a solution

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • There are nuances

Weak wiring - I wouldn't use this product

Plugs have very loose wiring resulting in visible/audible/smelly sparks whenever the plug is pushed or accidentally touched while something is plugged in. Seems dangerous. I would avoid this product and wouldn't be surprised if GE pulls it out.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Functionality

Finally! Cool extension.

Amazing! I've been talking about this for over 30 years! Extension that fits on both sides. When I was in the interior design industry, I wondered why nobody invented the product. This allows those of us who love symmetry to have lamps on either side of a bed, sofa or other space from a single outlet. Genius! And why didn't I design a year ago?πŸ˜‚ If it worked with Alexa now, that would be perfection!

Perfect for bedroom nights!

I use this cord behind my big bed because the electrical plug is right in the middle. Because of this, the charger for the phone and the lamp on the bedside table weren't enough and there weren't enough outlets for everyone. This cable solved all my problems! Now I can plug my phone charger into either side of the bed, along with lights and more! I like that the main fork is flat in case furniture gets stuck again. It's enough to cover a double bed, it's durable and doesn't irritate the eyes =…

Flat plug, no broken bezels

After roughly pushing the couch back into the outlet and breaking several socket bezels, tearing the plastic cover on at least one plug and exposing the wiring, I've had enough. This solution works much better. It's a flat fork, so no more thinking about what made me make that decision in the first place. I love that I only use one plug in the socket for both lamps on either side of the sofa. It's long enough to reach the lamp plugs tucked behind the couch, although I also tied an extra lamp…

Extension Cord Review

I'm surprised that GE is announcing specifications for this extension cord without disclosing the actual characteristics of the cord: 1) The cord has three jacks on the end, two on one side of the outlet box and one on top the other side. This makes the cable suitable for a typical computer power supply on one side and two standard plugs on the other side. 2) The wiring is 16 AWG, so the whole cable can handle 1625W. 3) As mentioned, the plug itself is polarized, as are the jacks. Therefore…

Warning: plug melted after less than a month of use

A device I plugged into this outlet randomly turned off a few weeks after plugging in the cord . Shortly after, I checked the socket and found that the plastic around the pin end had melted slightly but noticeably. I was still supplied with cord so I'm glad it showed signs of a problem rather than illuminating the dresser which was in front of the outlet. I've never had a problem with this jack (it was a different cable/brand in the other plug of the same jack, no problem). It was a good cable…

Pros
  • More power - 6 polarized outlets power your devices and devices
Cons
  • Crumpled

Sockets are often placed in the most inconvenient places in a new home. One of the shafts, controlled by a light switch, was flush with the wall exactly where I had placed my sofa. So I had to find a way to control this outlet without damaging my couch or making the couch stick out 2 inches from the wall. Enter that wall by hugging the extension cord. I can't say more about this thing other than that it serves its purpose. It didn't change my life. The small apartment certainly didn't get any…
