Finally I understand why sometimes my soap never gets hard, the scale I bought wasn't sensitive to +-10g while my others worked great thanks to this little one set of calibration weights that I highly recommend for anyone using a scale, just superb. I wish they came with a bag or box to keep them all together as some of them are really tiny. Feel free to buy them and these pliers came in very handy too.

Two of my kitchen scales are reading the weight correctly. I wish they came in some sort of storage case but they were well packaged in resealable bags and included tweezers. . I need to find a suitable container to protect them from dust and dirt and to keep them from hitting each other. Even a small amount of dirt or a small dent changes the weight by a fraction of a gram. They are easy to pick up with tweezers that are at a good angle for the task. Don't worry about oily fingerprints…

Here are some of them from Mettler Toledo. found that the worst weight was 2g, which was 4mg less, and 5g was 2.9mg less. 50 g less by only 0.1 mg! The rest was good too. For €12 including shipping, that's a good deal. If you want precision weights, they cost hundreds of dollars. Look for something like F1 class or better and be prepared to pay a lot more. Anyone posting about it and trying to measure their accuracy with a $25 DMS pocket scale is probably way off the mark.
