No more branded fridge filters!

The unit I received worked well and did not leak. Significantly cheaper than a branded filter for the inside of the refrigerator. My fridge is set to bypass the internal filter when removed, so this was an easy change. Your refrigerator requires a filter bypass module. Don't leave the old filter in place, it will fail over time.

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

EASY INSTALLATION AND WORKS BEAUTIFULLY!

Great addition to the filter unit of my fridge. I combined this coconut charcoal filter with a Hydronix built-in sediment filter as a pre-filter for my fridge's internal filter. It took about 15 gallons of flushing before the water was to my liking. Built-in quick couplers make installation easy!

Pros
  • beautiful item
Cons

Replaces or supplements an expensive filter in the refrigerator

Insert a separate siphon into the cold water line and mount in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. behind the fridge. There was a plug in the fridge to plug in the internal filter socket. It can be changed annually without moving the refrigerator.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Reverse print

Never let me down Never had a single failure

I have been using them for several years I have 4 reverse osmosis systems that my family owns I am responsible for the maintenance because I am the only one who knows how to do it. This product never lets me down, fast connection, I've kept them twice as long as advertised, great taste and smell, this is the final filter on the way to the reverse osmosis faucet storage tank.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • thin

Great tasting water.

This filter was great. The water tastes good and the filter lasts a long time. We have 2 fridges and one is a bit older. The older one has water and ice in the door but no filtration system. Generally we had tap water in the fridge. This was a good and simple solution to this problem. All I had to do was cut the lead and insert it into each end of the filter. I prefer to flush it before connecting both ends. This will remove and release the parts in the filter. If you decide to do this, make…

Quick and easy water filter change and inexpensive.

Excellent. Definitely removes the taste of chloramine from our municipal water supply. I simply cut a 1/4" polypropylene feed line in half and then stuck the ends into the filter, no brass fittings to fiddle with. Be sure to connect the inlet side first and run 5 gallons of water through it into the flush bucket. I have an old Whirlpool refrigerator with a $30 filter cartridge that is accessed from the bottom front of the unit. The cartridge holder is cracked and leaking, so I bypassed it and…

Quick and easy water filter change and inexpensive.

Great. Definitely eliminates the chloramine taste in tap water. I just cut a 1/4" polypropylene tube in half and stuck the ends into the filter, no brass parts to fiddle with would have to. Make sure you plug in the inlet side first and run 5 gallons of water through it into a bucket to flush the free carbon out of the filter, then plug in the other end that goes to the fridge. I have an old Whirlpool refrigerator with a $30 filter cartridge. which was accessible from the bottom of the front…

Easy installation - see my photos to make sure it WORKS!

Easy to install - seems to work as intended. Update: It's been almost two years since this drinking water faucet was installed and ever since these filters have been installed there has always been the menacing inlet and outlet lines hanging from the horse filters. The reason I point this out is because two years later, in the photos I shared, you can see very clearly that the water supply line is tinted tan and the water line to the drinking water faucet is clean. That says a lot about what…
