Nicely designed stand. Today I want to access my truck with only 2 bikes on the rack. As I lifted the handle to lower the swing onto my trunk. I slowly lower the bike with my hand. The rack kept moving until the bike hit the ground. Now the arm is bent. Not exactly reliable as these reviews say. Last week my bike fell off the stand while I was driving. Luckily a strap came loose, I used the nylon strap they included with the bike which would have resulted in a serious accident.

I am very happy with this purchase. We are going to the outer coast in a couple of weeks and plan to take 4 bikes with us. 2 Trek mountain bikes for adults and 2 children's bikes. We tested them and rode about 30 miles on the green track and I was very happy with the result. The bikes didn't rock or bounce. The first image shows the bike sliding back along the arms. and leaned forward. It was partly our fault for not properly tightening the tube stops on the horizontal arms. The included strap to further protect the bike from slipping broke immediately; it was useless. The rubber bands that cover the frame tube/hold it to the supports are too weak for their purpose. I have had this item for a few months now. Pros: Stable frame. The cell phone connection is a bit shaky, but not too bad. Cons: I find this very unsafe as there is a high chance that the bike will detach and fall over while riding (!). Plastic cable ties are a great idea. I'm impressed with how durable this bike rack is. I've seen other bike racks that have made us wonder how bikes don't fall over. Not in this case. The assembly took only a few minutes. It comes with all the tools needed to assemble it, so that's a plus. I love how the small parts of the bike holder move and rotate so you can adjust the bikes as needed and also flip them over to make it easier to remove the bikes from the back.
