Not a very good design for the sink and bathroom accessories

It will work but the design is terrible compared to what I pulled out. First, it is difficult to remove the plug from the shaft. Second, the pin that keeps it open when in use doesn't have a stop, and I often see it closing when you don't want it to. Getting back to the first part, you could just unscrew the entire stopper knot on the old one to clear debris out of the drain and actually use it as a poker to aid in the process. Removing the cork from this thing is agony. The rod is also held in

Fits a real 1.5 " spout

I have seen many reviews discussing the size of this spout. This drain fits a nominal 1.5 inch diameter. Note that the OD of the 1.5" pipe is 1.9", not 1.5" as you might think. It's also confusing that the drain you might be removing is actually designed for a 1-1/4" drain installed with an adapter sleeve to fit a 1.5" drain (many Drains in household stores are sold this way and it happens that a 1-1/4 OD pipe has almost 1.5 inches, another thread seal, and the larger 1.5 inch pipe has a…

Lift and secure drain in packaging, not advertised - FIX!

Actually a good product. However, Revain's description says it is a 1 1/2 inch drain. Like the Kingston Brass description on the box. THE PROBLEM is that the drain in the package is 1 7/8 inches long, NOT 1 1/2 inches. So my guess is that someone changed the packaging as there was already some plumbing on the threads. This product is useless for me. BIG UPDATE: I didn't take the correct measurements. For some reason the drain is actually measured through the drain pipe under the tub, which is…

1.5 " diameter solution

This is a solid product, literally feels heavy in the hand and is way better than many other options on the market. I'm writing this review to explain the 1.5 inch wide issue that many have complained about. At first I had the same problem as others: it was too big to fit the hole in the tub. I ordered another product from Amazon, but from a different manufacturer and 1.5" in diameter: same problem, it was too big. In short, it turned out that there was a plastic sleeve left in the hole that…

My installation method.fwiw

Perfect installation. A previous plumber/person messed up a previous sewage installation. Too little putty, seal of the drain shoe warped. See photos of spatulas and gasket stretching. FWIW Installation Tips: Preheat the putty with a heat gun (hand rolling of warm putty is very easy) to make it super flexible. Wash the bath thoroughly and then smear it with a thin layer of Gasacincha (imo). Line up the gasket between the tank and the drain shoe/joint, with some pressure if possible, where most…

Recommended for wider downcomers than those supplied with adapters.

Pro:Drain PadCon:Drain Plug - look elsewhere. I've spent hours with Revain because none of these drain pads have a clear photo of the top with specific measurements. I have provided photos for this. I decided to give it a try as a previous purchase of a "universal" dish drainer with adapter didn't allow me to use my silicone hair trap. These adapters allow you to adapt a narrower drain to a wider opening, which I don't want. This kit does not come with these adapters. Plus a narrower drain, I…
