I have seen many reviews discussing the size of this spout. This drain fits a nominal 1.5 inch diameter. Note that the OD of the 1.5" pipe is 1.9", not 1.5" as you might think. Actually a good product. However, Revain's description says it is a 1 1/2 inch drain. Like the Kingston Brass description on the box. Perfect installation. A previous plumber/person messed up a previous sewage installation. Too little putty, seal of the drain shoe warped. See photos of spatulas and gasket stretching. FWIW Installation Tips: Preheat the putty with a heat gun (hand rolling of warm putty is very easy) to make it super flexible.
