💦 Kohler K-728-K-NA MasterShower 0.75 Inch 2- or 3-Way Transfer Valve Review

This product has so many models that when we finally called a plumber to our home to install it, we found that the wrong item had been ordered. Our plumber got the right one but now it's time to return these (we bought two) and there are no exceptions. It's a great brand and this product is very well made, but it's not doing us much good at the moment.

This valve is used to switch between 2 or 3 lines but the cartridge rotates 360 degrees. "Stops" can be felt, but when there is no pointer on the handle. Water will surprise you by coming from an unexpected place. Even if a door handle is used; someone can turn it to a new position and the next shower user has to guess where the water is coming out.

I have one complaint about this valve, in summer you can take a hot shower, but in winter the water gets warm, but not hot. If you turn it on to the highest temperature it will run for a short time, but if you turn it back down it will just heat up again. Does it have something to do with anti-scalding and the temperature of the incoming cold water? If there is an internal setting or adjustment I would like to know other than this issue, that would be 5 stars.

Purchased this Kohler K-728-K-NA Mastershower 2 or 3 way diverter valve for a Kohler K-9059-CP modern handheld shower set while renovating a bathroom. Hooked up a Kohler K-304-KS-NA Rite-Temp pressure relief valve for installed Devonshire faucets and the Mastershower valve works well through the wall with others. Works very well and gets the right water pressure to match the pressure coming into the house. Ease of installation. Would order again for a bathroom installation or renovation.

There are 6 positions (head, standard, hand shower, nozzle + standard, nozzle + hand shower, standard + hand shower).
