    Perfect for DIY pool filters

I connected a 1.5" hose to it, attached two micro mesh bags and used it as a filter for a 10ft lap pool we had to buy this year . works perfectly. It's so strong it sucks the bottom of the pool so I used an old slotted metal pan as a base, perfect. I have it in my 5 gallon bucket now and hanging in the pool as a skimmer, also perfect. When I need to do a water change, I just use a longer hose and pump it straight down the drain pump downspout without flooding the garden. And now I have a backup

Great pump for small to medium jobs.

I used this to drain my pool and it worked great. You will need a hose clamp to hold the type of hose you are using. I used 1 1/2" and I think that's the max size allowed. It moves water easily. It took about 8 hours to drain 18,000 gallons. It didn't work as fast as I was hoping, but fast enough , especially considering the price. It doesn't have a float so you have to be careful not to dry it out. The local shop charged what it cost for the pump. I have it now whenever I need it "I would…

There is water, there will be a pump!

We are modifying our 1600 gallon pool. The Lanchez Q9003 3/4 HP submersible pump looked good to help us get the job done. It was high priced and good value, which is why we bought it. It arrived quickly and we got to work right away. I liked the serrated clamp they provided to attach the hose to the pump. A trip to the hardware store was avoided. When everything was set up and ready the pump started working straight away and you could actually see the water going down. I grossly underestimated…
