Although the code now stands for 4-wire outlets, one electrician (in Florida, USA) says this is normal since in the 1970's the Service panel has already been used Neutral and earth are connected. 4-wire sockets separate them for even more security.

No assembly required other than screwing the wires into the appropriate slots. There were problems attaching one of the wires, but in the end managed to keep it. I think the existing wire was slightly crimped and didn't fit properly under the screw.

We needed a wall mount for an old three pin dryer socket for our 40 year old house. Which just wasn't in big stores. We received it quickly and it was pretty easy to wire up. It's hard to get into the box, but that's to do with the size of the cable, not the jack.

I bought this item for my dryer last week and it looks like the picture but I thought it was MADE IN USA like the picture but than I mean Received package, I opened the box and mine is made in China! You must write Made in China or change the picture
