Good breeder, suitable for aquariums

If you have a large aquarium, this aquarium is for you. Takes up a lot of space if you have a </= 10 gallon tank but does what it's supposed to do.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Not the best, not the worst

This grow box is, as the name suggests, not the best grow box, but it's not the worst either. It is too small for fish such as mollies and lamellas, but is well suited for guppies. The holes in the bottom are a little big and small roasts can get through so I put a fine mesh on the bottom and it all works fine.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Will do

Use with brood aquariums and aquariums

I bought this for my live aquarium and the instructions describe exactly what I am looking for but I am afraid the holes in the bottom of the trap may actually be too big be and release the children. My larger juveniles are staying fine but are a few weeks old now. This is one of the smallest breeder traps available if that helps anyone.

Pros
  • Several competitors

Does what it takes!

Protects pregnant women from other fish! However, this is not a robust design. The fry can still be eaten by the mother as other fish "suck off" the young and eat them. Overall I will buy it again although it's not the size I expected. Slightly smaller than some of my other ones I've bought at the pet store.

Maybe it's a fish?

I've had several of these and they've all worked well. Somehow my females don't give birth in this trap. The day I release them back into the tank, the babies will be born. Not sure if this is just a coincidence or maybe I have weird fish? In the last 3 months no babies have been born at the breeder and/or my bitches have died. Maybe it should be bigger? Very frustrating. For that reason alone I'm giving it 3 stars.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Has flaws

No guppy brood nursery, though.

This 3-in-1 float is a honeymoon suite, time-out isolation for wire cutters, and a nursery for newborn cubs. I would approve of 2 uses, but baby guppies just swim right through the cracks at the very bottom of the tank. I've used it for all three "traps" and have found it to be an excellent breeding tank to give your favorite couple their own sanctuary. And it seems to have cured the swordsman who went insane from biting everyone. A week of solitary confinement seemed to cure him of that. At…
