This was a great bag for the price. We were able to get a considerable amount of stuff for our vacation and return home. We got caught in the rain on our way home and the bag was a little damp inside, but not what I would describe as "wet". We quickly realized that you have to hide the excess that is hanging from the protective mat under your bag, otherwise there will be a terrible rumbling in the car.

I was looking for a cheap alternative to the hard top cases I see on the street. I just needed something for a short trip. This cargo bag has held up surprisingly well for 600 miles. to travel. The straps held up well (I had to tighten a couple of times) and it was able to fit a lot of extra luggage. I haven't experienced heavy downpours so I don't know how waterproof it is but I'm happy with this purchase. I hope this cargo bag will have many more uses.

Drove 2000 miles in the US and have had a very good experience with this cargo bag. It is not fully protected from rain. A very small amount of water got into the bag after heavy rain. We bought it last year and had trouble fitting it because the belts were loose and noisy. This year I used Gorilla Duck Ribbon and the problem was solved. No noise and it's really easy to install.
