Buy at your own risk!

Like many of you, I followed this section of the review for a long time before settling on the 16GB Motoactv. I've had mine for over 2 months now. , and I can say that the performance is okay so far. It has the potential to control them all, but it doesn't work. The battery life really isn't all that great and could be greatly improved. I did half an ironman and wore a bike and running watch and the battery was down to 15%. By the way, I didn't even listen to music. To be honest everything else

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

great potential but damn fragile - be careful

Bought this for my husband as a Christmas present. I was aware of the battery issue from looking through most of the posts on the Motoactv forums. However, note that the screen is extremely fragile and can break. The device tends to get stuck in the included clip and is very difficult to pull out (others have also complained about this on the forums). Fell to the ground from waist height, smashing the gorilla's screen on first use as he tried to get the damn thing out to install in a bikeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • I'm worried

I really wanted to like this device, but.

I really wanted to like this device because it has so many things that Motorola got right. It's comfortable, attractive, and the equipment is easy to use. I love the integration of music player, GPS fitness device and phone extension. All connectivity options, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, worked flawlessly with headsets and phones. And as a standalone GPS tracker, it tracked workouts, speed, speed, etc. However, there are two main problems. First, it's the battery and charging system. Theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Motoactv may be out of service

OVERVIEW: ******Motoactv is a great device that cannot be recommended just because Google has decided to stop supporting this device and the current version of it fully dependent on the site is a beta (or alpha) class that doesn't have the strong, aggressive feature development that would make the watch a winner. Wait for Garmin to offer a similar product. DETAILS****** Like most things made in high-tech industries, Motoactv is a product that came out a bit earlier and most consumers expectedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Security

Worthy - Indoor Training and Customer Service Need Serious Help!

I bought this through a plethora of HRM/GPS solutions mainly because it combines a music player with HRM and GPS. I'm 43 and need to lose over 20 pounds and do a variety of exercises but mainly: outdoor running, outdoor biking, spinning (indoor) and strength training. I've used it about 6 times since I got it last week. I'll try to update this when I have a little more time. As far as outdoor stuff goes, MotoActv was just as promised, but I still need some time to get used to the music playerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Good but not great
