My Akai S6000 is quieter

I installed this fan in my Akai S6000 sampler. It replaces the much louder original fan. Installation was easy. No modifications or adapters are required for compatibility. I only had to ignore one pin (align the hot and ground pins with the same ones on the S6000 fan header and leave one fan header unused). It's not very firm, but it doesn't wobble either. Maybe the packaging was a bit bloated and I didn't need adapters, but that doesn't bother me. It's nice to see a product that comes in…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competition is here

This fan is listed as a 12V 0.120A fan. 12V (0.06 amps). I'm surprised it says CE RoHS rating on the box. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but I feel that this is a premium price for a premium product and the product does not meet the listed specs, although it is the easiest spec to measure it casts a shadow over other performance specs such as how many cubic feet of air per minute are expelled from the fan. To do this, you need to buy a fan for $15. In this case, the price of this product…

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • Long wait

Best in class interior

I was fed up with the tiny high speed fan on the PNY GT 730 board in my HTPC so decided to upgrade as there was plenty of space around it. I took out this fan, installed rubber anti-vibration pins on a new Noctua fan, glued the pins to the heatsink and connected it to ULNA. Results? I can no longer hear hissing from the card! I stress tested it with Furmark to push it beyond realistic usage, and temperatures with the Noctua low-speed fan (74°C) were only 5°C warmer than the PNY high-speed fan…

Pros
  • Easy to install

High-quality, very quiet

I used this fan to replace the noisy Meanwell PSU fan on my Ender 3 Pro 3D printer. This fan is thicker than the standard fan so I had to mount it on the outside, but that didn't really matter as the clip holding the wires can be detached so I can slide it neatly through the hole. To increase airflow and avoid connector splicing, I used metal snips to the fan grill of the Ender 3 PSU, but that wouldn't be necessary. Meanwell is 12V initially, so no buck converter is needed. However, I had to…
