Good quality wool blanket.

I ordered a pair of these woolen blankets to make into woolen shirts. The duvet is of decent quality and weight and using one of these I managed to create a very nice hoodie. Also, I thought the comforter would be thicker, and since it was a bit thin, I decided to add a mid-weight fleece layer to reinforce my clothing. disturbs the eyes. Although it is as warm as any coat I have bought in the past, I cannot wear it due to eye irritation.

Not as warm as expected (50F max)

For the price this is a fantastic duvet. Took this blanket up into the Arizona mountains recently and the blanket was doing very well until the temp dropped to 50 degrees (Fahrenheit) and when the temp was in the mid 40's I had to throw on extra layers to stay warm which is something is something to consider if you are buying this as a camping blanket or rescue blanket. In terms of size, it was big enough to use as a sleeping bag, with enough room to wrap your legs twice, for a man who is…

Poorly made. suitable for bed and bedspreads

Intended as a spare blanket for guests. When it arrived it was hard with some sort of wax coating and smelled like cigarettes and cigars. I gently washed it in cold water as per the label and when I went to tumble dry it I noticed that one side that was poorly stitched was starting to unravel. After a round of gentle drying at a low temperature, fibers were everywhere. Not only did it fill the lint trap, but it leaked onto the laundry room floor and then into the kitchen. I collected fuzzy…

Don't buy these duvets

These duvets are cheap they can't be cheaper and buy cheap I mean a damn expensive price for what they have I had to wash them to get rid of the stink they smell of chemicals. I put them in the dryer for 20 minutes on a cool setting and hung them on a clothesline to dry. When I took out the lint filter, most of the blanket was in the lint filter. So tired of the crappy stuff sold at Revain I thought I might invest in their stock but I don't think I thought of canceling my subscription, I think…

best wool for the price

I have about 7 or 8 of these now, great wool blanket for the price. I mostly use them in the winter, draped over a regular blanket. I live in a 1 bedroom cabin on the 45th parallel (the Canadian border is 5 miles away), it gets about 30 degrees below zero in the winter and my cabins are only heated by a cast iron wood stove, maybe 85 when I do then go to bed 70 noon if i wrap a regular blanket around me then around 4am it's about 50 and i wrap a woolen blanket around it then i go out around…

Great blanket for cold weather. You can get rid of the smell quickly.

Let's be clear. This is a comforter for cold nights. You should have a sheet underneath because it's prickly. This is a wool blend. It needs to air out what I'm assuming is a flame retardant formula that smells awful. So ventilate the basement or a little-used room for a few days. It will only stink for a few days. I even took it off with some Fabreeze. I have two bad boys like that. They just work. I live in a colder climate and use them when I'm hanging out in the basement watching TV. On…

$25 Price Tag

There are many negative reviews about this blanket, but are they deserved? In a word, no. I suppose it depends on your intended use, but it's by no means a bad thing. I have used it when camping for the bottom of a tent and for moving large items. Works great in these situations. That's what I think these blankets are for. They are durable and resist impact. This isn't the kind of blanket you want to put on your bed and sleep with every night. Sure it will keep you warm and when you need it…

When you're on the fence. Spend $25

Okay, here are the top answers I was hoping for when looking for outdoor bedding. My needs were long weekend hikes with my car nearby. I would call it the needs of base camp. The weight is heavy and not what I need for trekking. The blanket was the largest I could find for a reasonable price. When you open the sealed plastic packaging, the flame retardant smell is barely perceptible, but after an hour it fills the room and is annoying. This smell reminds me of musty wool, but the comforter is…
