Only 4 stars because definitely different from the originals. They have a slightly firmer feel and I prefer the lighter touch of the original. Otherwise they worked perfectly. If you are new to soldering I would not recommend it as it can be a hassle to remove. For users who know how to solder, they are easy to replace.

I got them to fix a couple of my controllers, unfortunately one of the joysticks has a broken button and the joystick is shifted to the right, in game it makes the character move straight as you go forward. I would rate higher if I could get a replacement for the broken part rather than having to return the entire order. That being said, sticks that work this way feel good, not as good as OEM joysticks, but close.

After much trouble removing the original joystick I installed one of these new sensors. This works but is awkward at the x/y transition on the right and the sensor calibration software confirms that the value jumps in this area. It also has a significant dead zone that is unplayable. I hate the thought of removing and replacing them again. It looks like the controller is fried. Don't waste your time with these joysticks. NO OEM quality.

This item installs and works well with the Xbox One S Wireless Controller, the bottom of the component that doesn't allow you to connect it in the same way as the OEM install analog joystick. After figuring it went through the alignment holes as far as it could go I soldered it and reassembled the controller and everything works fine.

I'm guessing there are reviewers who are able to remove and re-solder these components. But if you're only familiar with removing and re-soldering a resistor or power transistor, you'll find it a lot more of a chore. There are over a dozen solder points, and you can easily destroy PCB pads or damage other components while trying to persuade damaged sensors. If you have experience with that, great. TLDR They work but are clumsy and not as sensitive as OEM joysticks. Only buy if you need to replace the pads in an OEM joystick. Long version. These joystick sensors are not as sensitive as OEM sensors. I read some other reviews of these sensors after purchasing them and realized that instead of soldering, they just replaced the pads in the OEM sensors. I bought these for the standard white Xbox One wireless controller. Quality wise they seem to be put together well and the one I installed worked fine for me.
