One of my best purchases!

We've had a severe winter in New Hampshire. Tired of slipping on the ice in the yard trying to chase the dogs away. When I fell I decided to order them. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. They are easy to put on and take off. They come with interchangeable grips. I've been using them for about two weeks and I feel completely confident on the ice. They make me feel safe even when the dogs pull on my leash.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Wouldn't recommend buying them at all

Bought last year and now used for ice fishing. The "notches" on the underside of the yellow disks are round metal tips. Well, round metal on ice is slippery, if not slippery, than just boots on ice. If you step on them hard and press hard, they dig into the ice and provide some stopping power. Simply walking on bare ice, however, is a risky business. I would definitely not recommend buying these.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Only available in white

Best Value for Climbing

This is great value for money. I've used them a few times with boots to walk my dogs. At first I skated on my own to make sure I didn't slip, until two dogs dragged me for a walk. You did your job. In comparison they are much better than yak tracks which are useless on the ice. They are definitely as good as the Stabilicer products. I wish the boots were a bit further under the heel - that would be my only gripe. They are very easy to put on and the boots are quite flat which means you don't…

Garbage. Used for walking on frozen ground for about an hour.

Garbage. Was ridden on frozen hard snow and ice for about an hour before the spikes popped out of the slip-ons. Some have lost the metal studs while most have lost the entire yellow plastic grommet. It was a very pathetic disappointment compared to the originals I had, which were replaced after three freezing winters while working as a courier in the mountains far northwest of Washington. Revain seems to have a tendency to replace good products with lower quality brands that look exactly the…

SAVE YOUR MONEY best climbing

UPDATE: The seller (OnePlus) contacted me to give me a full refund. Valued. It makes me feel better about them as a seller. Unfortunately, I still think the spikes are really bad, but I have a higher opinion of the seller. - SERIOUSLY disappointed. I ordered M for women's shoes size 8.5. I liked the exchangeable studs, but they don't make up for the lightweight construction, rather thin and too elastic rubber. They wandered around my shoes and the heel spikes never came back far enough to merit

Fur. Ok, short term I guess.

My body was tired of falling on the ice and was afraid of breaking a bone, so I had to give something. I took them because of the good reviews and good price. They were ok the first time. Here in Colorado you're constantly going from ice to snow, onto sidewalk/road, back onto ice, etc. They felt good on ice, but very uncomfortable for a few steps on a non-ice surface. They fit my Timberlands pretty well, but they twisted while wearing them, so I had to keep adjusting them. When I got home after

However, they prevent you from slipping.

These rubber cleats for traction with shoes and boots are great for clearing your driveway or gritting the path, but not quite for running. I bought the right size for each person. I put them on my running shoes and found them difficult to walk on. I walk in the woods and bushes, roots and branches EASILY detach from the handles. I had to keep stopping and putting them on because they kept clinging to bushes, tree roots, etc. I recommend them on chilly days when you're going to the grocery…

Not really suitable for climbing

Ice bands, very important for safety. Really important. More than a million Americans are injured by slips and falls each year, more in the winter and some fatally. A few observations: 1. Very thin rubber band. I have a number of Yaktraks to compare and nowhere near. Longevity is yet to be seen, but only in a solid construction, it doesn't seem built to last.2. The boots fell off in a few easy steps, so a spare bag is included. This is the most important find because, well, security. I can't…
