Fraud - buyers beware!

Permatex, which I thought was a reputable brand with quality products, literally sells you about 1.5 tablespoons of product in an oversized tube. Whether the tiny amount they put in a tube is 3 oz or not, 7/8 of a tube is nothing but AIR! See photos!

Door Seal Repair

I ordered this product to repair a burglar door seal on the back door of my 2000 Astro Van. I was very disappointed with this product, it was very dirty and didn't hold the rubber door seal in place. very disappointed. Wouldn't buy this again. Through and through the pipe after trying to attach the door seal. Wouldn't buy again.

Doesn't work for small/fine lines

For filling gaps in a peel and stick tile backsplash. Worked for the purpose but it took me so much effort to squeeze them out I couldn't get a straight line and since the packaging is metal squeeze tubes both tubes I used are after half theirs use, making them even dirtier and useless. . I need to find another product to complete my project.

Problem solved - sealants

This product has NEVER let me down. I have a BAK Revolver X2 installed on my 2016 Colorado and it is leaking heavily through the bulkhead. BAK didn't have a solution to the problem and since I installed it myself they refuse to give a guarantee or talk to me. The problem turned out to be 1/2 the gap under the frame. I pulled out Permatex and the problem was solved in 5 minutes. The only downside is that it's sticky and can get out of control very quickly. I recommend a larger size and a…

gold standard! fits sealant

This article has come in handy more times than I can count. The customization of cars is associated with uncertainty. Sometimes the details fit, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they need a little tweaking. I use it to caulk small gaps and install small aftermarket parts where screws/rivets won't fit. Unlike other sealants that get super tough, this one gets tough yet flexible. Perfect for my use in temporary mockup details. When the seal is removed it comes off cleanly leaving no residue. This…

CANNOT HEAT

I bought this to fix a crack in my dashboard as the product was advertised as being good for high temperatures. The Texan heat cracked the dashboard, and the Texan heat was too much for this silicone. I used it as directed in mild weather, squeezing a generous amount of the product into the slit with a tongue depressor. I wiped off the excess and let it dry. The repair at such a prominent location on Akuralole looked so-so. A few days later the weather warmed up again and the repairs were…
