Good adhesion for Power Sander parts and accessories

Price was reasonable for a pack of ten sanding pads. The sand adhered well to the substrate, but the disc did not adhere well to the backing pad, even though the backing pad was thoroughly cleaned of adhesive residue before applying the disc.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...

Great product at a great price

I'm still using the first grinding wheels. They hold up better than Gator discs, which are much more expensive. I am very happy with the price of these discs as I think the discs of other well known brands are mostly counterfeit.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Cleanliness

Inexpensive and very durable

Sticks well to my homemade disc sander. (plywood disc with polymer coating). Pine Sands easy. Also 3/8" flattened aluminum shank. Good value for money. Update - Used with softwood, hardwood, aluminum and mild steel. First disc lasted several hours of use. Very impressed. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Some problems

Like New: Power Finishing Tool Parts and Accessories

Fits like the original grinding wheel that came with your grinder. I was surprised by the glue on the back of the new sanding disc, it seemed to me that the glue on the back wasn't enough. I carefully cleaned the grinding wheel and put on the grinding wheel. I had no problem with falling off.

Pros
  • User Friendly
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Good grinding wheels but they don't stick to my grinder

Good grinding wheels but they don't stick to my grinding wheel. Every day when I enter my shop, the sanding pad detaches from the aluminum sanding disc. I've cleaned the disc and also tried adding some spray adhesive but no luck. I guess I'll keep pushing and grinding it until it pops off.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • So-so

Will not stick to PSA rims

I've used different brands of rims over the years but I've never had a rim that doesn't just stick to the aluminum plate. I've tried everything with these things and they only last well for a single use. If left unused for a few days they will start to peel and fall off (if I forget to press them back down). The platen of my grinder is immaculately clean. There is absolutely no reason why these things should be undone when not in use. This is strange because the adhesive on the back feels very…

Pros
  • Easy to fit
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Hard drives work fine. no sticking problems.

For people who have problems with sticky replacement drives I think the problem is with the solvent you use to clean the mounting surface, not the drives themselves. Do not use any petroleum based cleaners [White Spirit], that leave greasy residues and cause adhesion problems. I used medicinal alcohol. denatured alcohol or acetone will likely work as well. After removing the old drive and cleaning the mounting surface with rubbing alcohol, the replacement drive stuck in place with no issues. I…

The adhesion seems to be bad.

The adhesion on these discs seems to be very bad. When I received it I removed the old disc and washed the remaining adhesive off the roller with mineral spirits and then made sure the roller was dry. I put on a new disc and made sure it was pressed all the way up against the roller. After about 2 hours it came off the plate around the entire perimeter. He pushed her back but let her go again. I could also tell by tapping the disc that at one point it had gone towards the center. So I ran the…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Almost lost an eye - they don't stick

Actually I should give more than 1 star as the sanding surface seems pretty good and stable but as I can't use it at all this becomes 1 star. After removing the old disc (that came with the machine), I cleaned the surface and glued this new disc on top. This was strange as the paper came off easily. When I started the car, the window almost hit my face! I put it back on by pressing harder and I was able to use it once. But when I came back a few minutes later, I saw that the disc was loose…
