The vertical caliper is bent. The thumbscrews for the ruler broke off the first time I tried to hand-tighten them. The holes moved 1/16 inch each time due to sliding deflection. Buy a better tool, don't ruin the closet door because your tools are cheap.

The main height slider is misaligned (90° to the center ruler) when it snaps in, making the entire tool useless without the ability to adjust it. Very frustrating because I spent money on this tool and didn't "do it by hand" because I wanted our beautiful new vanity to be perfect.

This system is a good system. The only thing that bothers me is that the horizontal rail is not long enough to use the large drawer stop. You will have to let her go. I tried playing around with it a bit and found that with my particular tool, as I tightened the square edge, it tilted slightly. First, not everyone is born to be a neurosurgeon. Likewise, not everyone can properly measure or use power tools. If you're one of those "those" people or don't know how to drill a vertical hole, buy one of these for a friend and let them do the work for you. Those reviewers who claim that this tool mounted objects off-center or crooked blame the tool for their mistakes. If you use this tool properly, it will work great. Second, the tool doesn't come with instructions, as some have pointed out.
