Item arrived yesterday. I installed it on my bike and it works great. I installed my iPhone 8 with a case and it was snug but fits and seems to hold the phone very well. The included short cable, about 6 inches long, with the iPhone Lightning Port Adapter does not stay connected to the phone. I am reordering a Revain Basic 4 inch cable. Since there is no adapter, I think that this is connected correctly.

This is a great replacement for an expensive $1000 BMW unit. I would call it more of an alternative. Your phone can currently do everything an expensive BMW navigator does and more. Did I mention that the BMW GPS module is overrated? Ridiculous. This bracket attaches to the bracket that comes with the GS and RS bikes and uses the same power connections as the ignition which is great! It has 2 USB ports that allow you to connect other accessories besides your phone (e.g. GoPro).

Great product to use with your smartphone for music, navigation, weather updates, traffic updates and of course sunset selfies. The phone is constantly charging, which is also a plus. Unfortunately this device fell apart completely after 6 months of use and left me extremely dissatisfied. Bad fittings aren't stainless steel, so everything will rust. Came in a plain unsealed box with no instructions. It can be plugged directly into the pre-installed navigation of the BMW R1200RT. (After looking through the Q&A, I found out that the wiring harness for the supposedly wireless connection was for other bikes.) This is a great solution for my BMW R1200GS with the factory GPS mount. You remove the OEM protective pad and stick it directly. It comes with an extra bracket which I don't need - I assume you want to completely remove and install the Navigator bracket(?). Anyway, I just plugged it in instead of the GPS unit and that was all I had to do. It fits, albeit not very easily.
