I bought this hitch for my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Sport to haul cargo. Installation was easy and took about 30 minutes. I did this solo using my jack to hold it up while I bolted it on. I've already used it 2 times this summer to easily keep my loaded truck on the beach.

I bought this for my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL. I tried installing it myself but found I didn't have the right socket size and had to have a mechanic install it. The unit is very well built and took about 2 weeks to install using a 4 bike hitch rack. No problems so far with one exception. The end of the wire I bought does not stay in the attached bracket.

Works well and I installed it myself in my wife's Jeep Wrangler JLU. The instructions weren't too clear (Remove the hitch from the bumper. Really? I didn't). It was inconvenient to remove the existing braces, but I was able to remove them. The instructions do not address whether and how an existing brace can be removed. In the end a good product for my use (trunk) and I'm glad I got this receiver hitch.

Works well and is very strong. I have attached photos (last 2) of the factory installed plate. This plate must be removed to install the receiver. The documented installation method was too cumbersome. I was able to pull out the panel and install the receiver in about 20 minutes. Please note that you will need to purchase an extension cable if you want to use it with a bike rack. There is nothing wrong with this clutch. I have a Wrangler JL Unlimited Sahara. It started with no problems lol. Very easy with all devices. I wasn't sure about the torque of the bolts so I set them at 80 pounds. More than tight enough. I removed the two original numbered screws and then installed the hitch. I used 2 new screws, then 2 original screws. Fits like a glove with no space. Do not remove the bumper plate. It goes right over it.

Note that there are no instructions, the installation is very intuitive, except for the direction in which to insert the screws. I recommend pulling the bumper and installing the bolt heads to the rear / ny-lock nuts up front. The mounting screws can only be installed by removing the plastic bumper cover to have enough clearance to insert the screws. It would be helpful to include this in the instructions. I believe there were only 6 that had to be removed to gain access. It didn't take long, but she was a little difficult to find.
