Description of ๐Ÿš€ Enhance Performance with RKX Carbon Cleaning Walnut Blaster Adapter for VW Audi TFSI Engines Intake Valve

Genuine RKX Intake Valve Walnut Blaster Cleaning Adapter Compatible with most VW & Audi TFSI vehicles. The RKX walnut cleaning adapter is designed to aid in the removal of carbon buildup on TFSI intake valves. The design allows the use of a walnut blaster with little to no mess just attach a vacuum to the other port. The RKX walnut cleaning adapter is injection molded from ultra durable glass filled nylon. The TFSI engines are notorious for carbon buildup. This buildup robs your engine of power and efficiency as it reduces airflow to the cylinder. Manual carbon cleaning is time consuming and near impossible to remove all carbon buildup. Walnut blasting drastically speeds up the process and will leave you with a cleaner valves!. Compatibility: FSI, TFSI, TSI gasoline engines 2.0T 2005 - 2016 4.2L 2006 - 2014 5.2L 2008 - 2011 3.0T 2010 - 2017.

Make it so easy!

First of all I have to say that it made the job a lot easier. After doing some research I decided to use the rkx version adapter and I'm glad I did. The inlet is symmetrical so the adapter can be flipped to target both valves when blasting. Great job RKX, this is a must have for any capable handyman.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Discontinued model

Too expensive in intake valves

While it works I just can't help but think that this piece of plastic is terribly overpriced. In hindsight I think I would have adjusted the shop vacuum fitting to get the same result and get better suction (the very small vacuum port works only marginally. The BMW tool is MUCH better designed). Can't recommend for the price but works a couple of times hence three stars.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • boring packaging

Not a fan. Good price, but maybe towards a better device?

It kinda works. It comes out of the hole, the back does not have a deep enough edge. There are other devices that will suck both valves and a hole in the middle so you can move your blaster and get both valves. Yeah, I'm not a fan of that. Probably 3D print it for a few bucks and save your money. Next time I will definitely go the other way.

Pros
  • Inspires trust
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Works perfectly. I wonder about the longevity.

I give 4 stars. While it works great and helps focus the media in your workspace while making collecting a lot easier, it's made of plastic and I can't help but wonder if it's durable. I work professionally on cars and have used this 4 times already. It's starting to show wear and tear. I can't help but think it would have been a lot better if it was made out of aluminum. I hope the RKX guys take that into account. They do great problem solving for European cars.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

The right tool makes it easy. This is the right tool.

Worked great. It really "snapped", it fitted perfectly and was sealed (VW CC 2.0 2014). While the latch doesn't keep it unattended while blasting, it provides a good seal and you easily hold it with one hand while operating your blasting gun with the other. Generally, a teaspoon of media exited the vacuum and fell along the treated ridge just below the air intakes. This adapter simplified the whole process, which is to be expected when you have the right gear. I've seen others use the judgingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Don't wait 90,000 miles

The adapter worked very well and kept clutter to a minimum. This is not a job for beginners, do some research and take your time. Removing the air intake isn't that difficult, but there are a lot of cables to disconnect. The temperature sensor wire is hidden underneath, two small wires can be easily torn off. (Don't ask me how I know) There's a support bracket under the throttle body, that's a pain. Little hands help. You will need torx bits, a triple square drive, a 17mm spanner, a 10mm deepโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • weak

was about 15 inches long. 2) I had to drill the hole slightly larger so I could fit the barrel through the hole. In hindsight, maybe I should have left the hole the same size and just pressed the barrel of the gun against the hole. Maybe it worked. 3) The vacuum hole did not match my vacuum which was a Craftsman vacuum. It would be better if I took the time to find a hose or adapter that would allow me to do this without having to hold this device in place by holding the vacuum hose while I'mโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • The empty
