Our dog uses these gaiters for walking and to protect his claws. I'll list the pros and a few tips you might find helpful: Pro: Very durable. Boots are expensive, but the quality of materials and workmanship is higher. Source: I tried other boots. You can get wet. Our hikes include numerous crossings of water barriers and swimming. The boots are weathered for this use. After use, we simply let the boots air out. The soles of other boots we tried came off after getting wet. It's a less important

Great fit! Protect paws!

I got them after my dog injured his paws and tore his pads. I wanted something that would protect their feet on the concrete while the pads heal, but also be flexible and tactical enough to use later on the trails. They fit very well and are true to size/measurements (I followed Ruffwear's measurement guidelines). They feel roomy when you put them on, but you have to keep in mind that when walking/running, their toes are splayed to allow them to move. I got them with Ruffwear boot socks after…

Made some adjustments for Dewclaws

I have Malinois Shepard Belgian Blend; 6.5 months. She has dew fingers. I took off a star because they don't do these boots very well for German shepherds or wolf claw dogs. Here's how to tweak your dew toe boots. Okay I went and bought her baby socks for babies! For her front paws I am a "double toe". 1. Make sure your dog's nails are trimmed and filed (especially dew toes). If the dew toes are long and sharp, they can cut into your dog's side paw as he runs or walks in his boots. I cut it and

Best boots for dogs

I really like these boots for my Australian Shepherd. I bought a pair a year ago. Other brand. They rolled over and fell. I found another pair for $28 at Petco. They looked like this. Except that stuff went higher. They rolled over a bit, lasted about 10 minutes and started to lose them. I have read reviews of many different dog shoes. I found the best reviews for them. I thought they were expensive but I was sure they would work. I measured my dog at 2 1/2. I read the reviews and went 1/2 size
