Drive goes in but can't get out

Purchased to secure SSD boot drive and SATA HDD. When you insert an SSD, it slides along one side of the case to fit into a hinge under the raised end of the case. The big problem is how to remove the drive. The disc fits into the connector very snugly and there is nothing on the disc itself to pull it out as it is now flush along one edge and along the bottom. The only way to grab it is to lift the end of the disc to slip your finger under it, but the link is made of durable plastic and can'tโ€ฆ

For me now, after some tweaking, almost perfect.

I have several USB docking stations. My first issue with all of them is heat, especially when the drive is used for an extended period of time. I have a small 125-volt 3-inch fan that I use to cool the drives when using an external dock, but that's a little extra work to keep up. So a station with a built-in fan was attractive, especially at such a low price. I read comments here from another Revain customer who removed the guards to improve airflow. So I disassembled the device and looked atโ€ฆ

I liked this USB sleeve at first. The hard drive can be inserted and removed from the housing very quickly and easily. But it has a big bug that Sabrent support couldn't fix. After 10-15 minutes of non-use (I have USB enclosures as backup drives) the hard drive turns off and stops spinning. This means that you have to wait 15 to 20 seconds for the hard drive to fully spin up to full speed each time you access it. In these cases I had 4 hard drives all running at the same time and constantlyโ€ฆ

NOT RECOMMENDED - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

Stay Away! Stay away! Stay away! Same issue others have reported, hard drive crashes on other devices. I formatted two blue WD 4TB hard drives in this document and now I can only read them in this dock, NOWHERE ELSE. I can't even initialize them to work in other documents. The reverse is also true: I have 2 EC-DFLT documents that work fine with my own hard drive to switch between and I wanted to add this block with a fan. This docking station does not read disks from EC-DFLT documents. say they

Insufficient cooling for hot drives

Considering the fan version. s in OS X with a Seagate ST8000VN0022 8TB drive), the interface seems stable (no errors for 8 hours of continuous file copying - not always the case with USB3 drive interfaces). minus, depending on your use case). Cons: No SMART support, so you can't query hard drive temperature or set up an automatic slowdown. Cooling really isn't enough. The fan is very quiet, but doesn't move much air either. After riding my ride in a 70ยฐF house all night, it was too hot toโ€ฆ

THE FAN IS USELESS AS THIS HARD DRIVE DOCKING STATION IS NOW DESIGNED

UPDATE (24th November 2015, remove those rubber feet first) and lo and behold I was right, the fan moves a lot more air, a lot more freely than with bars . With no grille, all you have to do is make sure the device is placed on a flat surface so nothing is interfering with the fan's rotation and make sure you don't stick your fingers in the moving fan (but it's a weak fan). fan, so even if you did it wouldn't take away part of the finger or anything). With a 3.5 or 2.5 hard drive in the box, it

AVOID! 50/50 shot, it works. Literally.

So the first time I ordered they sent me the NON FAN version which I already have. Literally the same device, just without the built-in fan. Of course I bought it FOR the fan so I had to return it and buy the item again hoping I get what I paid for the second time around. Unfortunately the second appears, the correct one as I had hoped. I set it up and the first thing I noticed was that the fan doesn't spin when I turn on the unit. I put the disk in the tray, turned it on again, and finally the
