Works, only downside, if you don't watch your food, it burns even on the lowest setting. I've used it primarily for boiling water and it's been great, but the settings need tweaking to stay in control.

This hob replaced a solid surface unit that failed after three years. I was surprised at how light it is, but the rubber feet keep it stable. The stainless steel finish is clean and looks professional, but I suspect it will be difficult to keep clean since detachable coils require a screw to be removed first. We bought this appliance because we had a kitchen renovation for 11 weeks. We used to have electricity in the kitchen so it's not too different even if you have limited (2) burners. One burner is larger than the other, allowing you to use a larger pot. Since we're doubled in sockets until our reno is ready, I've limited the time to use both coils, but you can easily use both if needed. There are many security features that I like.
