I bought this pump to drain my hot tub. Checked the drain, it works as it should. When not using it as a sump pump, you must hold the float upright to activate the motor to pump out all the water. I half submerged it and it appears to be waterproof. It comes with nozzles but I have to buy the hose separately. So far happy with my purchase.

This is a must have. You never know when you'll need it. Flood the basement, drain the pool, or divert water somewhere. I have a very old one (from 2014) that was used to pump water from a cistern 2 times a week and I decided to upgrade to a newer one. It's just amazing, the pressure is really good. You can transfer gallons and gallons very quickly. 💯% recommended!

I have tried many drain pumps over the years. I haven't installed this yet as it's here for backup. But I've dropped it in a bucket and let it run, and I like the float mechanism better. I think this will eliminate some of the stickiness you get with the slider style. And it's a lot quieter than any other model I've used (some of which were Harbor Freight). I'll try to come back and add more when it's used as I can't say for sure about the volume yet.

I bought this pump to drain my hot tub. It has some really nice features. It moves about 7.3 gallons per minute through a standard garden hose. The float switch can be easily adjusted without a screwdriver. This makes it easy to set and forget, and it drops the water to about 9 inches on its own. Then, while holding the switch up, it ended in no time. I haven't used it to move anything containing solids. I will update if I need to use it this way.

The water pump is very powerful and made from durable cast iron so you know it will last. i like the color It blends in perfectly and you can still see it in the water. The automatic water sensor is a great feature. Some of my older devices don't have an automatic water level sensor, so that's really nice. Also included were a couple of adapters. I definitely recommend it. The power cord is also very long and waterproof, so you don't have to worry about where to plug it in.

I bought this pump primarily to flush a water heater. I fill a large bucket with vinegar, put the pump in the bucket and run the vinegar back into the bucket through the water heater. I ordered this pump to replace my giant little pump that doesn't have a float switch so I can drain and fill my hot tub without worrying about my pump burning out. Set up was very easy and the pump cord was much longer than my little giant's which meant I could get power in a much safer place in the event of a burial. The pump drained a small (6ft diameter) garden pond fairly well. There is NO hose supplied (most Revain pumps don't have this of course) so make sure you order or buy the hose elsewhere or you won't be able to use the pump.
