Can be used as a replacement for an old HE Skil saw!

Couldn't find a switch for our old saw anywhere and took a chance ordering this one because my husband can fix anything anywhere. I saw parts for HD everywhere, but not for HE. He did it.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Update availability

Bad Start Power Tool Parts and Accessories

Not as good as it should be. As soon as I change the switch it works on my power panel. I had to clean and reuse the old switch. In short, this is a modified schematic and should only be used by a professional.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Almost OK

This switch broke immediately.

This is a simple DPST switch. I installed it correctly and on a functional check I blew the circuit breaker. I disassembled the saw by removing the switch from the handle assembly, meaning the saw motor was not connected to the switch, and tested the switch with an ohmmeter. I found that when the switch was pressed, the resistance between the two poles was about 80 ohms. This resistance should be infinite. The switch is defective. This is inappropriate.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable shorter than other picks

Will not fit Skil saw Classic 7 1/4 " 5250 4HSS1

Just a warning for people like me looking for a replacement trigger. Hopefully this will save you some time and Nerves I did NOT have because some idiot opened his mouth and spat out false information Where he should have put his beer hole So just friendly advice Watch what you say and say what you mean and when If you don't KNOW, keep your opinion (because that's what it essentially is!) There are problem solvers and problem makers Who are you?

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

I wasn't sure if that part was the problem.

I was given a 7 1/4 circular saw. They said it won't start. I'm not an expert. I thought it might be a motor, a cable, or a switch. The brushes were ok. I settled on what I thought was the most likely cause and also cheaper than buying a new engine. I'm lucky again. You feel good when you can bring something that has been scrapped back to life. This is a Chinese saw, type not specified. Sounds very good. He cut himself, I buy him a new Diablo blade and everything will be perfect. Many Thanks…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
