Don't buy it from Riveters

This is bullshit. If you're trying to rivet a #520 chain or any other motorcycle chain, spend a little more money and buy something better. It was without instructions and bent/broken with the rivet the first time it was used. I threw it away after the first use.

DO NOT BUY. WILL DAMAGE CHAIN ​​

Worst product at Revain. If you want to spend too much money to snap pins without moving and a riveter to break the master link on your $150 chain, then this tool is for you. I've never had a headache this bad. This product is terrible.

Doesn't hold up well

Tried using this to rivet the main link of the 525 chain but the pins in the main link were stronger than the riveting tool. The riveting tool actually deformed the pin, not expanded it. I'm going to buy a simple clip style link as I should have from the start and forget about the flare pins.

Read the instructions. Use the largest tool pin size that fits the chain pin.

This was perfect for a thick Harley Davidson chain. I broke off the tool pin only to find I had to go up a size. I used a wrench for tightening instead of a metal crank and just as I thought he pushed the chain pin out as far as it could go. I did 1 last turn and the pin popped out. This tool does what it is supposed to do and is not as expensive as other similar ones. The thickness of the chain switch is more than enough, it will not bend or break.

The 4mm tool can't stand it.

It is very easy to use but I have already broken the 4mm riveting tool twice. For the first time I can take the blame. The second time I followed the instructions on T. Align the tool almost completely with the chain as you suggest and extrude a brand new (no mushroom head) straight. I was hoping the cheaper option would catch on

I believe you buy the tool in port freight first and if it wears out it means you use it enough to guarantee the right tool . This was my take on this chain breaking/rivet tool. They look just like the ones that cost five times as much, so why should I spend that much? As a circuit breaker, it worked great for me. If that's all you need I'm sure it's worth $20.
