Works great: Computer cable adapter

This adapter works but you need to download the drivers from the website. I first downloaded the driver from the CD, restarted the computer, then downloaded the driver from the website and restarted the computer. And BOOM! I HAD ANOTHER MONITOR. However, it is not magic. You need to understand how Windows 10 manages monitors. A notice. Right-click on the main monitor desktop and select Display Settings. Both your primary monitor and the new monitor will appear, and you can make adjustments to…

works great when it works

I really like it when it works. As other users point out in their reviews, it suffers from three intermittent issues. The second monitor does not wake up from sleep. The only way is to unplug the device from the USB (or use the bat file provided in a test)2. The audio switches to HDMI. Seems to be really confusing my skype sessions.3. The second monitor just freezes. The image remains on the screen but is not updated. Again, the only option here is to unplug the device from the USB. It's really

I can use two monitors

This allows me to use two monitors from my laptop. I see different windows/programs on each screen. I work from home. I have an HDMI and a VGA port on my personal laptop. My work laptop only has one HDMI and the rest is USB. When I switch laptops, I want the ports on my monitors to stay the same. I just plug the VGA cable into this adapter and plug it into one of the USBs on my work laptop. I can't tell any difference to a direct connection at all. He is just as clear, consistent and sharp. Work as intended for our low-demand setup.

Works as intended. Lightning struck her husband's relatives' church, paralyzing their computers. They had three large screens receiving video from this computer. In my haste, I finally recommended a computer that only had two video outputs, one HDMI and one VGA. It worked for them, except for the screen on the back for people talking to the church to read something or just see what they're showing. This monitor required an HDMI output to work, so the simplest solution I could find was this…

Decent little adapter, just keep an eye out for HDMI audio.

Seems to work fine, I use three of these. The only thing you really need to pay attention to is that it also transmits HDMI audio, which is cool if you want audio over HDMI. If you still want to use a regular sound card, be sure to disable the audio portion in Device Manager or you'll end up with HDMI audio by default. Simply changing the audio source from HDMI Audio back works until you unplug and plug this little guy back in. At this point it will usually reset to the default setting. It took

Worth the extra dollars

I tried a cheaper version but it didn't even work and I couldn't find any useful (or positive) information about it online. This item is worth the extra cost. I downloaded the latest driver according to the attached instructions and restarted my computer. I immediately connected the new monitor as a third device. No setup was required. The driver software looks and behaves like a professional installation. The manufacturer's website looks professional, and there's a phone number on the product…

Works great with Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I'm writing this almost a year after I bought this unit. I'm using it on Windows 10. Most devices of this type require drivers to be installed BEFORE being plugged in. It is very important. I connected it to a 24 inch HP monitor and the picture quality was perfect. The video plays fine even in full screen mode, but the downside of this (and pretty much every similar device) is that it puts a heavy load on your CPU and USB bus. If you are running a low power/older system with an older/slower…
