Very durable. They were easy to assemble and very easy to install on my tracker's racks. I was concerned about how much noise they would make when empty, but it wasn't that much. They can easily be removed for the rides that kayaks sadly don't do. The straps are ok, but I sometimes use the good old ratchet straps because I think they're stronger and because I like that. I give this item all five stars and I feel like I'll never have to buy another set again. At least until I buy more kayaks.

I ordered these when choosing my car to make sure they would fit. They don't fit and we'll send them back. Also, they smell awful; like standing in a rubber tire factory. Also, the instructions are beyond useless. It's just a bad photo with dozens of lines and fine print. All you have to do is guess which screws, bolts and nuts are wearing out. The panels that attach to your rack are bare metal and will likely scratch it with every use. They are poorly made in China and most likely not suitable

I had no problems with assembly, the instructions were helpful compared to other reviews prior to this purchase. The instructions may have been updated. It took me 20 minutes to assemble them as I took my time with it. It's not easy to store them on the roof rack and then take them apart when they're done so I just leave them on the roof rack and take the roof rack off when not in use. I was skeptical after reading the reviews but for the price I gave it a try. I used an adjustable wrench to tighten the nuts, the instructions were clear enough and assembly was fairly easy and straightforward. It took about 30 minutes to assemble and install my wife's 2018 Subaru Forester and it looks RAD now. Sturdy enough and works as advertised. At first the parts didn't fit well together I had to use a hammer to drive the center bolts through the bars and plastic and then it was really difficult To get the bolts to seat properly since the holes are countersunk I had to put a nut over the bolt and hit it really hard with a hammer to get it in place and some of them took a few tries and wasted much time. Decent value for money but straps are almost useless - DO NOT use them. Buy something better/longer. Also, I read about using these joysticks for SUP.
