This pump is a real beast, pumping out a dry basement with a dirty floor during a recent flood without delay. and this after 7 years of sitting since the last flood. I needed it to work and it did.

Works well so far as a base pump, used twice. The float mechanism will not allow you to drain water below 4 inches in auto-off mode, so it is not designed to completely drain your puddle without child supervision.

Powerful pump! I use it to pump out my dry well, but it doubles as a handy digging pump. Really solid construction and I love that the power cord is already set up to lift the unit into holes.

When the gas station broke at work while staying in the pool we had to hire a pump. Local rental companies ran out of pumps and ended up renting a pump of this model. We were pleasantly surprised that everything works now. It not only pushes through a large amount of water, but also easily copes with small debris. We really liked the pump and ended up buying it and highly recommend it.

We were using this pump during a rainstorm yesterday when runoff from a hill flooded a drainage ditch into our company's concrete yard and threatened the barn. The pump worked perfectly. Almost all of the water was removed (approximately 1000 gallons) within 15 to 20 minutes. The pump is practically silent. And it's designed so dirt doesn't clog any of the intakes. Highly recommended!

I've had this for about a year and use it to clean ponds and ponds. Works well, doesn't clog. Very consistent performance and a few minutes of dry running here or there didn't seem to hurt him. I just wish it could flow closer to the ground. It can only go down to a little over an inch, which requires some manual work to remove any remaining debris from the pond.

I'm disappointed in the amount of water this pump handles. This would be normal for the amount of static water you want to pump out of a given area. However, if you have incoming water (e.g. flooding) then it doesn't matter. Forget it. Get something that can move much larger amounts of water. Also the float switch is tricky and not very useful. I ended up just making it so that the pump only works when it's connected to the mains.
