Questionable quality

I was interested in other reviews, so I immediately tried this tool. The swing arm begins to bend slightly. I might try hardening it before using it. Otherwise I don't know how useful it will be.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Nothing

Won't fit my old Toyota sprocket

I couldn't use this tool because the bolts didn't fit my old (1979) Toyota sprocket. be pretty strong. This will probably work with the new type of cam sprockets.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • I doubt it

Works perfectly! :)

I changed the head gasket and the mechanic got the head to top dead center for milling. They said to just put the sprocket back in to get it back, but since the crankshaft was still at top dead center I couldn't put the head back in and use the timing belt to get the head back.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Without machine

Fixed Wrench Bits

Wrench Bits are too big for my application and cannot be removed (they are welded in place) to be replaced with a different sized tip (vs to similar models of this type of tool that offer different tips for use on the same instrument). But the tool looks good.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Some Cons

upset. Suitable for engines and engine parts

This is a product that is correctly priced but not correct. It's not universal. The pins holding the pulley are too big to fit my 2006 Honda Pilot's front camshaft pulley. If there were multiple pins in the kit, it would be universal. Also, the screw that tightens the arms does not prevent the swing arm from swinging. I'll take another holder.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Clarity

Bent after one use but still a good tool

Bent on the first pull. Same as in the chase pin review on an unfixed arm bent in the same place. However, the screw came loose. For example, the Chase mine was overloaded to 140 ft-lbs. Also, I didn't tighten the screw holding the two levers together before use. So I know the load was not applied properly along a plane. Probably my fault. I had a 4 foot pipe attached to my breaker. Surprised it didn't break. engine 1mzfe.

Pros
  • Excellent general characteristics
Cons
  • There are nuances

Handle bent on first bolt

The very first bolt I tried to remove without a wrench, the tool bent before the bolt came loose. The pins must be welded on both sides of the plate. I asked for a new one and am sending this one back. I still have a camshaft bolt, I will update this review once I get a new one. Update: The company contacted me and said most people don't have a problem. I would say that was all I could do to loosen the bolts, I believe they were tightened much more than the recommended 95 ft/lbs. I ended up…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Almost never
