Description of Upgraded Titanium Heatbreak Thermal Printer

This Heatsink with Neck for prusa mini printer is to solve the heat-creep issues. It would be better if you can apply some thermal paste to properly fit the heatbreak into the prusa mini heatsink. These heatbreaks is made from Titanium Alloy TC4 to provide excellent thermal isolation between heater and cooling block. Titanium is extremely strong material and offers almost 3x lower thermal conductivity than stainless steel, creating more defined meltzone. Pls note: these heatbreaks are only suitable for prusa mini 3d Printer, pls know before ordering. Package: 2pcs titanium TC4 heatbreaks. PLEASE NOTE: there are 3 set screws on the heatsink to fix the heatbreak, Pls must screw it on heater block gently when hotend cooling down.

Works great, no more freezing!

I was having issues with heat creep causing my Prusa Mini to jam, after switching to this thermal break and steel nozzle I had no jams!

I have stored my MINI in 3D printer supplies

which I bought about a month ago. I had no traffic jams or crawling problems. After weeks of fiddling around and trying a different hotend and extruder to no avail, I stumbled across this thermal break and decided to give it a try. Thermal paste, and since then my mini hasn't been sticking anymore. I use 1.75m of standard PTFE tubing from the extruder for the thermal break with no bevel. If you look at the CAD drawing you will see a flat area in front of the neck, this is where the PTFE tubing…

Cons
  • Not Safe

Not processed to specification and not recommended.

Of the two I received, one was 5.32mm and the other was 5.28mm. The stock Prus heatsink was 5.5mm thick. This provides poor contact and thus leads to poor heat conduction from heatsink to heatsink, which is NEEDED to prevent heat leakage (which is the reason for the 'upgrade'). I still have problems with heat creep and constipation. I used thermal paste to fill the gap but not enough to prevent thermal creep/clogging. I do not recommend this product until they can test tolerances of 5.475m +/…

Pros
  • 3D printer parts and accessories
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
