I installed this switch in my car as a clutch release switch. My previous truck had a similar button that overrides the "clutch to start" requirement, which I really liked and used it every time I started it. So I just connected this switch to the connector above the clutch in parallel with the wiring and voila: put the car in neutral, flip the switch, turn the key and voor-room. Pedals are not depressed.
