The straight positive wire in the box was loose. I open it up to check and both wires come out of the solder! The soldering is very poor, they didn't tug on the wire to make sure it was attached properly.

Works as intended but needs some adjustment to work with batteries. The part was cast, but the pit is too small, so the batteries are stuck. I removed a small amount of plastic from each side of the battery track with sandpaper and it's working great now.

Supercharged Power Wheels isn't even the best way to describe it if you're a techie. This adapter with my 20 volt Dewalt made the drive wheels run twice as fast. I made an old bet on drive wheels to propel a 3-4 year old at speeds that were iffy for a 6 year old. This is probably one of my best purchases. However, my wife is a neuroscientist and that has now turned the old motorcycle into a worthy helmet vehicle.

The adapter is very easy to connect to the battery, the wire cross-section comes out well from the adapter. However, the battery poles inside the adapter are too thin. Caliber is too small. As you can see in the picture, the new DeWalt battery clip has melted. Also the terminal on the adapter melted. The thickness of the poles on the battery was doubled, that wouldn't have happened.
