Sensor rod mounting knob needs improvement

I installed it on my 15" jet planer per the instructions and didn't have to drill any holes. After tightening the knob on the sensor bar in the last step of the calibration, the sensor bar still moves sideways a lot. The instructions say to tighten the handle very firmly, but that still doesn't solve the problem. Note. Movement will affect the accuracy of readings while the machine is running. Makes my planer even better.

Great improvement over planer scale. I was confused and had trouble understanding the installation instructions for the device. Nobody has posted a full size planer installation video on youtube. Somehow I found a suggestion to go to Wixey.com and look at the photos. They have 12 photos of the unit mounted on a Powermatic 15HH (my planer). I bought these about a year ago and installed them on my 18" Woodmaster planer. Vibration, sizing isn't very easy and it occasionally loses sizing. The first thing I did when it arrived was making an aluminum profile bracket to mount on my planer. This part was pretty easy.
